FlyBarter connects private jet buyers with owners and authorized brokers who are selling. Every aircraft on FlyBarter is listed by its seller — we don’t own aircraft, and we don’t act as a broker in your transaction. We make the introduction; you and the seller deal directly from there.
Two ways to find your aircraft
- Browse current listings. Search and filter the jets sellers have listed with us, by manufacturer, year, price, hours and more: Browse Listings.
- Request an Aircraft. If the jet you want isn’t listed yet, tell us what you’re looking for — manufacturer, model, year range, budget and must-have features. Your request is recorded, and you’re contacted when a potential match is listed or found through our seller network. Submitting a request is free and carries no obligation: Request an Aircraft.
Listings are added as sellers join, so the browse results change over time. A request is the reliable way to be first to hear about a match.
Jet classes explained
Private jets are generally grouped by cabin size and the length of trip they’re designed for:
- Light jets — the smallest business jets, typically seating 6–8, designed for shorter regional trips and smaller airports.
- Midsize jets — a step up in cabin room and range, suited to longer domestic and cross-continent trips.
- Long-range jets — the largest class, built for nonstop intercontinental travel, with cabins that commonly allow lie-flat rest on long sectors.
Each class page explains what defines it and what to consider before you buy: Light Jets · Midsize Jets · Long-Range Business Jets. If you’re open on class, a used business jet of any size can offer strong value — see Used Business Jets.
Buying a private jet — the short version
A sound purchase usually follows the same path: define your typical trip (passengers, distance, airports), set a total budget that includes operating costs — not just the purchase price — inspect any candidate aircraft in person, arrange an independent pre-purchase inspection, and verify the logbooks and maintenance status before you commit. Our guides walk through each step: choosing an aircraft, ownership costs, and pre-purchase inspections (guides linked from the homepage and the Request an Aircraft page).

Frequently asked questions
Are jets listed on FlyBarter right now?
Listings are added as sellers join, and the current set is always on the Browse Listings page. If nothing there matches, submit an Aircraft Request — that’s how most matches start while the marketplace grows.
Is FlyBarter a broker?
No. FlyBarter is an introduction marketplace. We connect buyers and sellers; any purchase is negotiated and completed directly between you and the seller, with your own advisors. If a referral arrangement ever applies to a specific introduction, it is set out in a separate written agreement first — never assumed.
What does it cost to submit a request or to list?
Submitting an Aircraft Request is free. A standard aircraft listing is free.
Can you help me find a specific model?
Yes — that’s exactly what the Aircraft Request is for. The more specific your requirements (model, year range, hours, budget, timeline), the better the match we can watch for: Request an Aircraft.
